Lionel Messi

This is one of the best players your cann find these days on the football field some people even say he is the best. Lionel Messi born on 24 june 1987 playes for Barcelona since 1994. Played his first match for Barcelona 1 on 16 december 2003and since the season of 2004 Messi have become a value for Barcelona 1. And he have the nickname La Pulga (the fly). Messi have played so far  around the 160 matches for Barcelona and has scored 106 times.
We all cann agree on the fact that this is a macnifisent player who always shows entertaining football. This is one of te reasons Barcelona get so many vieuwers. So Messi became attractive for marketers. And now become a ambassador of Nike en Pes. Messi stands on the cover of Pes on his own. This is a kind of statement from Pes that they only get the best player for on the cover of that game because they want to have the name of best football game.
Also Messi becomes attractive for Nike and he is ambassador of that to because Messi only wear Nikes in public and on the field so it are the only shoes he wears. Messi have become a kind of brand these days he is full with advertisement for companies who pay him for that.

Videogame marketing

Like you cann read in my other blogs the most regulair form of the profit of sponsoring a club or having bliboard next to the field is that the supporters get more interaction with your company because of the relation with the club. And u have as headsponsor the profit of having your name on the shirt and that many people will wear that shirt in public to make a kind f advertising for your company. And that some comapnies like Nike sponsor a club by the way of the outfit the players have in this case the Nike schoes.
But there is another thing that cann been seen as a marketing form related to football thats the videogame marketing. Because u have the games Fifa and Pes (football games where in your cann play with a team u have chozen) and in this game there also are alot marketing examples like the board on every game are also every time the same and in the begin u cann have you name as company let be schowed. Also i the game the players have the sponnsors name on the shirt so this involves also the sponsoring profit because when players pick your team to play with they see every time they play your companies name on the players shirt so this is a form of stealth marketing i find because when u play the game u don`t pay attention to it but your subconsciousness picks it up so this way its marketing.
So this is a way to also let people know about your company and also a way of getting a related vieuw in customers heads to think that your company is related to football

Reason to sponsor world best football clubs

In the next text i want u to get a better understanding of the reason why. Why compnaies sponsor the best football clubs when those companies already have a international name like unicef,samsung.
There are u few reasons why they sponsor clubs like chelsea,barcelona and real madrid. The main reason is of cource to sell more of there product and let the people get more intrest in the thing the sponsors sell.
But also influence the supporters by the fact that those people stand more behind the sponsor. But also when they buy a shirt of the favorite club lets take for example chelsea. Then the sponsors name stands on the boughted shirt and when people see the buyers of the shirt walk they also see the name of the sponsor. This is like a marketing that people like to wear and actually there making a kind of advertisement for the sponsor.

So when u sponsor a big club like chelsea who has alot of supporters then u cann get alot of these kind of marketing/promotion for being the sponsor of a club like this.
But sponsoring of a club like this is also a way of telling to the target group we are involved with football and want the football community to expand. We want to pay as companie for people who want to see good/great football. Because sponsoring a club like chelsea or barcelona cost alot.
And this is a kind of interaction with the public that they like and then u get a better reputation as company. And probably the supporters of a club that your company sponsors will get the supporters of your club easier to buy something of you then normally.
But there is also a down side because u always have rivals in football for example barcelona and real madrid.
And when u have this kind of rivals the supporters of the oppent club will buy probably less buy your company because your are sponsoring the main enemy of there club.

This kind of marketing has a few positieve effects but also cann have negative effect like less sells from a rivaling club there supporters.

FC Barcelona

The sponsoring of barcelona u cann do serveal things like be the sponsor on the shirt on boards next to the field and commerciale with stars of the team like messi. The sponsoring intrest to this club is very different to the ones in the the Netherlands division. Here sponsors have already got somethings for sure like being alot on tv because most football watchers always watch a game when barcelona plays. They get in champions legua almost every time and they get far in that tournament. Last years always half final or finals. The money flow is like 10 times larger then in the high Netherlands foortball club. This means also alot more investment.
So when you are the headsponsor u almost have a guarantee that u logo will be watched by alot of people all over Europe.
But the players of this club are huge stars. So companies like Nike use the players in there commercials to let people buy there product.


We also see that Nike is the sponsor of this team not by advertisement on the shirt or with board next to the field . Because Nike let the whole team play with schoes of Nike so every time in close-up of players u see the Nike schoes.
This type of sponsoring u only see at the biggest football club like Barcelona Real Madrid Inter en AC Milaan and the headers op the English Premier legua.
So you cann see that at clubs like these theres alot more marketing around it because many people watch games of clubs like these.

The tournament choose of companies

I want to give u a vieuw of why companies choose to sponsor the champions legua faster then the uefa legua and what the main difference are between the leguas.
The main difference between the tournament are the vieuwers. The UEFA legua has alot less vieuwers then the champions legua because in the uefa legua there are also number 8 active from the competition and more average clubs and in the champions legua are only the 2-4 best clubs of a land alloud. The vieuwer see in the champions legua better clubs then in the uefa legua so its for the vieuwer attractive to watch the champions legua because that is mostly better football and then u enjoy watching it more then u watch a game of the number 7 of Netherlands versus and number 2 of Kazachstan. That u watch sometimes clubs where u have absolutly no clue of where they come from. And in the champions legua u see clubs u know and where u know from they cann play good and entertaining football.
This is the main reason why huge companies sponsor champions legua mainly because it has more vieuwer and that u approach more people then when u sponsor the uefa legua.

Ajax and Aegon what the idea behind it

Ajax is also a football club from the Netherlands who wanna grown and become on internaltional stage by entering the champions legua. The idea and people behind the club are fimiliar as great football players. The people who have a hand in Ajax at this moment are the old football players Johan Cruijff, Frank de Boer Ronald the Boer and many more old known football players.
Ajax want to play champions legua the next years so here comes the point where Aegon comes and takes a look. Aegon is now the headsponsor of Ajax the reason behind the sponsoring from Aegon is that Ajax will be playing on the highest championschip the coming years (the think they will achieve this goal) so Aegon is the sponsor of Ajax becasue they have this goals and they have the ability to achieve it. And when Ajax achieve that goal they are going to play in the champions legua. That the tournament who has the most vieuwers when it comes to football tournament. With that tournament the sponsor cann get known in other countries (internaltional) and become active in other lands by expansion because people saw the companies name on the shirt of Ajax and want to know more about it.
This sponsoring cann Aegon expaned in other countries. But there is also another reason. That reason is that people who are supporter of a club have many intrest in the club but also in there sponsors. So when Aegon (insurance company) sponsors Ajax they have a high percentage of the supporters that joins the insurance company because the sponsored there club.
This are the main reasons for Aegon sponsoring. Because they get more internal name and also more supporters of the biggest club in Netherlands will come faster to there insurance company then to other company`s.

The relation between Fortis and Feyenoord

This is the relation that i found hte intresting so far because the state of this two Fortis and Feyenoord are a little the same. Fortis was the headsponsor of Feyenoord for a few years but lately that has changed. The bank Fortis got some trouble because of the economic crysus there where in where no one cann escape from some people say its over but i think it isn`t over yet. And that the chance is there that this happends again. But Fortis got hit by this economic crises it become so high in depts that it gonna be merged with another bank. But what has this to do with Feyenoord u think. I will explain that.
The relation between these two Feyenoord and Fortis was a little similair there both where high companies who did well Fortis had a little influince in the bank indrustrie and Feyenoord was a name in the football world. But after time passes both companies where going under step by step it was for both a slow proces untill the economic crises when this crisis started Fortis wouldn`t sponsor Feyenoord anymore and they had to find a new sponsor but that didn`t pay that much as Fortis so Fortis was gonna down slowly because the crisis and Feyenoord by the lack of funding they got. So the companies are now similiar to eachother because Fortis is going to merge because lack of money and Feyenoord almost have a bankruptcy because lack of money. So i found it intressting that when this companies are working together they still are having almost the same destiny because when it did well with one of them it also went well for the other and now when it goes bad it goes bad for both of them so that relation i found intresting it could be coincedence or not but it caughed my attention.

Philips marketing idea related to football

Philips is a huge companie. Who are selling all kind of electronic devices like televisions, coffeemachines ,surround sounds, radios and many more electronic devices.
And Philips is the head sponsor of one of the biggest clubs in the Netherlands PSV. So what is the relation between Philips and PSV. How is electronics related to football.
These are the questions that i will answer in this blog. Because it had my intrest why Philips a electronic companie is the head sponsor of a football club because i didn`t saw a connection between football and electronic devices. But after some searching i found out that Philips is the headsponosor for a couple reason.
Like there both located in Eindhoven. People who are proud supporters of the club mostly buy there electronic at Philips because thats the sponors of there club PSV. And because this is one of the largest clubs in the Netherlands PSV have many suppoters so this is one of the reasons for Philips besides that there both located in Eindhoven to sponsor PSV. But Philips sponsord this club also because it plays often internaltional games for exmaple in Spain France and Germany so sponsoring this club is also for getting international sales and respons from other countries to buy the product of Philips.
So i find that the sponsor of PSV by Philips is a good thing for both party. For PSV to have some money to become bigger of lately the pay debts like almost all the other football clubs. And its good for Philips because they cann get some name in other country then the Netherlands.
These days Philips already have a name in other countries and still becomes bigger. But they got the international relation a little from PSV because they are the sponsor of that club for like 20 years now.
So it was intresting to find out the PSV helpt Philips grown in internaltional area.

Jupiler and marketing of football

Now i want to tell you more about the marketing of another beerbrouwer called Jupiler. Jupiler don`t spend so much on the marketing of football as Heiniken does but they have just a little aspect of the football in the Netherlands. They are the headsponsor of the 2nd division of the compatition in the Netherlands called Jupiler legau. This is that people heard a little about Jupiler and that is beer it isn`t so huge crowed that watch to that legua. But they also sponsor a program on television called Voetbal Internaltional.
This is a program who has many people watching who enjoy footbal. In this program they also shows fragments of the Jupiler legau so this is how the 2 things that Jupiler sponsors in the football. So the have somekind of linked sponsoring.
Ans in the program you see the bartenders and the host always have jupiler tabs or serve jupiler beeer because that the sponsor. So it a little obvious marketing but also in the back a little because you watch the program and then you see aor a jupiler tab or someone having a beer of it.
So this is how Jupiler want to get a kind of relation in the head of the consumers just like Heiniken only with a smaller amound of money spend on the marketing. But still get like the same result that Heiniken does. Thats getting related with football and that the consumers think about your beer when the play and watch football.

In the first blog i`m going to tell u more about the marketing of Heiniken in football and what influence of the company Heiniken in this sport.
Heiniken u probably know from the beer Heiniken. The marketing idea of Heiniken is that they want to be associate with the sport footbal directly. THat when people think about football they also think about Heiniken beer and that they drink Heiniken beer while watching a footballmatch. So Heiniken want to reach the goal with there marketing that people are going to think about the beer of Heiniken every time they do anything related to football. Heinken is useing sponsoring and actions around sport to achieve this goal they have. That everyone associate Heiniken with football.
Heiniken use sponsoring for this so they sponsor the champions legua. This is as many people know the tournament that is watched the most every year.


Heiniken benefits from this because they sponsor it and so people relate football with Heiniken. Because every time u watch a match of the champions legua people get a commercial of Heiniken before it and the billboard next to the field are like 25% of Heiniken and the billboards of Heiniken are in the places that u see the most like behind the goals and half way the field.
Futhermore Heiniken also have actions to atracting people with sales promotion when people buy a crate of Heiniken beer there is a code on it and if u fill the code in on the site u cann win prices like on begin of december there was the price to win a arranged trip to Barcelona - Real Madrid.

I find that Heiniken succeded in their marketing idea because people associate Heiniken with football. And Heiniken really comes in almost every big football games with a advertisement.
